Dr. Julia Ling is a pioneer in the use of data-driven technology for scientific and engineering applications. Prior to joining Citrine, Julia was a Harry S. Truman Fellow at Sandia National Labs, where she led multiple research projects applying AI to the physical sciences. Julia started at Citrine as a data scientist, and more recently led the data science and data engineering organizations, where she grew the teams to double their size. She has also led the development of patent-pending Citrine technology applying AI to make strategic R&D project decisions. Julia has authored twenty-five peer-reviewed academic papers with over one thousand combined citations. She is a regular academic and industry conference presenter at top institutions including invited seminars at Harvard University, Stanford University, California Institute of Technology, Cambridge University, and UCLA.
Michael Smocer has a proven record of driving growth for leading-edge technologies deployed by the world’s most innovative product development organizations. As Vice President of Global Accounts at ANSYS, he established and led the global account team, resulting in an increase in new business revenue of over 200% in two years. As Chief Revenue Officer at Voci, the leader in deep learning technology focused on automated speech transcription, he established and operationalized the Sales, Marketing and Customer Success functions. By targeting and developing partnerships with the world’s leading customer analytics technologies, he established a sustainable and scalable business model growing customer adoption by over 10X.
